Manage User Access

Updated by Jenny

In Intao, managing user access is crucial for maintaining control over your app's functionalities and ensuring that users have the appropriate level of access. In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the steps to effectively manage user access within the Intao app.

Accessing User Management

Navigate to the 'User Access' Section: Locate and click on the 'User Access' option in the left sidebar of the Intao Admin Panel. This will lead you to a page displaying an overview of all invited users.

Users Overview

Here, you'll find a comprehensive overview of all users, including their last name, first name, email, last login date, and access duration to the topics in the app as well as the language they were invited in.

Searching Users

Utilize the search bar to find specific users by entering their email or name. This feature is particularly useful when managing a large number of users.

Filtering Users

Filter users by language or select specific user groups to streamline user management. This feature enhances efficiency, especially when dealing with diverse user demographics.

Editing User Details

To manage a user's access, click on the pencil icon located next to the user's information. This action will open a new window where you can edit user details.

Language Settings

In the 'Edit User' window, locate the 'language' section. The language setting displays the language the user was invited to. You can change the language by clicking the dropdown icon and selecting either English or German. After making your selection, scroll down to the end of the page and click the "Save Changes" button.

Access Duration

The 'Access started' field displays the date the user registered for the app. This information cannot be changed as it is automatically calculated upon registration.

In the 'Access until' field, you can adjust the user's access duration to topics. Click the dropdown icon under 'Set a new access limit' and select from the given options. After selecting a new access limit, click the "Save Changes" button to confirm.

Managing Selected Topics

Under "Selected Topics," you can manage the topics accessible to the user.

Adding Topics

To add topics, click on the "+" icon.

A new window called the "Topic Selector" will open, allowing you to choose additional topics. Select up to 10 topics at a time and click "OK."

Note that added topics will be available to the user in the library but remain inactive until activated. This means they will not receive sparks from this topic until activated.

Activate Topics

To activate a topic, toggle the slider. Activated topics will enable users to receive sparks. Please be aware if the user has more than one topic activated the sparks will mix.

Deactivate Topics

To deactivate topics, toggle the slider accordingly. Deactivated topics will remain accessible in the Intao library of the user's app but they won't receive sparks.

Remove Topics

To remove topics, uncheck the box of the topic.

Effectively managing user access in Intao is crucial for optimizing user experience and ensuring appropriate access levels. By following the steps outlined in this tutorial, you can confidently navigate user management and tailor access permissions to suit your needs.
