How exactly does the Women Leadership Journey start? (the 1st eight weeks)

Updated by Jenny

We are starting out strong. In the Women Leadership Journey we take eight full weeks to kick off the year with a bang. The beginning is all about clarity: We call this the Discovery. This period is designed for you to set your focus. That means to become crystal clear on what your personal and leadership goals are and what you'd like to focus on in terms of development.

The Discovery is the first – and maybe the most important – step of your Leadership Journey. It has four core objectives:

  • To step into the success mindset that allows you to get the most out of the Journey
  • To understand the impact you would like to have in all your different roles: As Leader, professional, partner, parent...
  • To define the development areas you want to focus on in order for you to reach your goals
  • To make a specific plan what you will do/learn in the next few months

The Steps

  • We are starting the onboarding about three weeks before the kick-off workshop. During that time, you will join the community and already have the opportunity to meet the others in the digital community. You will be asked to write an introduction post in the community and also to take a self-assessment: The Leadership Compass Questionnaire allows you to create a mental image of all the areas that play a role for your leadership development and start to reflect on where you excel and what you might need to take a look at.
  • The first two weeks are all about mindset because how you show up might be the most important aspect of it all.
  • Week 3/4: Inner Journey. We will connect you to yourself: What is your purpose? What are your strengths? What might you need to unlearn and what do you want to develop towards?
  • Week 5/6: Outer Journey. You will explore what success looks like in your most important roles.
  • Week 7/8: Your Plan. Having a plan is always a great idea: It creates focus and accountability.
